Three Hearts

I have three hearts,

Or so I read once.

Three heartbeats.

A heart of steel and glass and silicone.

Each beat

Calling to the next,

Reaching forward,

Next,

Next,

Next,

Next.

Body’s heart,

Ever seeking,

Never resting.

A heart of ink and paper.

A dance of heartbeats,

Now,

Next,

Now,

Next.

Heart of the mind.

A moment caught,

Pondered,

Reflected,

Discarded,

A new moment captured.

Heart of thought,

Cataloguing,

Categorizing,

Capturing.

A heart of sunsets, breezes, and ocean waves.

Now,

Now,

Now,

Now,

Now,

Now.

Each moment, not a moment,

Rather,

The moment,

The forever present,

Eternal.

“a world in a grain of sand…”

I have three hearts,

Or so I read.
